Golden Light, Growing Love

This maternity session with Fiona and her daughter Harlow took place in Raglan, bathed in the most beautiful golden glow as the sun began to dip.

There was something incredibly special about photographing the two of them together in this season — not just documenting anticipation for a new baby, but also the bond between mother and daughter as they step into this next chapter as a family.

They wore matching dresses from my client wardrobe, which added a soft, cohesive flow to the entire session and complemented the warmth of the evening light perfectly. Everything felt intentional yet effortless — elegant without ever feeling forced.

My approach, as always, was a balance of gentle direction and natural connection. I guided them into light and movement, then allowed space for real interaction and emotion to unfold between them. Those quiet in-between moments are always where the most meaningful images are created.

Raglan gave us the most heavenly golden atmosphere — soft, glowing, and calm — wrapping the whole session in a feeling that was both intimate and timeless.

It was a privilege to capture this stage of their story, where connection, anticipation, and love all sit so closely together.
