Raglan Sunset Session | M + D

This session with Madelyn & Dylan took place along the rugged coastline of Raglan, timed perfectly for that soft, golden evening light.

These two have such an easy connection — the kind where everything feels natural the moment they’re together. There’s a quiet comfort between them that makes photographing them effortless; they don’t need much direction, just a little space to settle into each other and everything unfolds from there.

For this session, we started tucked away in a more sheltered bush setting to create some softer, more intimate frames before moving down to the beach as the light began to drop. I like to shift environments like this throughout a shoot — it keeps things feeling varied while still allowing the connection to remain at the centre of everything.

From there, we followed the coastline into that beautiful Raglan sunset glow, letting movement, light, and connection lead the way. Nothing overly posed, just gentle guidance where needed and space for them to simply be together.

The result is a collection that feels honest, relaxed, and full of warmth — a reflection of who they are as a couple and the ease they share with one another.
