Before Everything Changes Papamoa Maternity Session — Olivia & Brayden

This maternity session with Olivia and Brayden was captured along the Papamoa coastline, where we were gifted the most beautiful mix of soft golden light and cool, moody blue tones as the evening settled in.

There was such a calm, effortless energy to this shoot — a quiet confidence between them and a beautiful anticipation for what’s to come. Olivia looked absolutely stunning, carrying this chic, understated elegance that worked so perfectly with the natural coastal palette around her.

My approach for this session was intentionally simple and relaxed, gently guiding them into natural movement and connection while allowing the environment and light to do most of the storytelling. Nothing felt overly posed or structured — just space for them to be together in this in-between season of life.

The contrast between warm sunset tones and the cooler blues of the coastline gave the whole session a cinematic quality that felt soft, emotive, and really true to the moment.

It’s always such a privilege to photograph this chapter — the stillness before everything shifts, when life is about to expand in the most beautiful way.
