Ohope Weddings
If you're dreaming of a relaxed wedding by the sea, Ōhope is hard to beat.
There's something about the combination of the beach, the hills, the ocean and that beautiful Bay of Plenty light that makes photographs here feel effortless. But what I love most about Ōhope weddings is that they don't have to feel overly polished or formal. There's room to breathe, to kick off your shoes and actually enjoy being married.
I've photographed weddings around the Whakatāne and Ōhope area and love making the most of the coastline without making your wedding day revolve around photographs. We can wander down to the beach for a few minutes, take advantage of the light and then get straight back to your friends and family.
Some of my favourite photographs are the ones that happen when nobody is really thinking about the camera — walking along the beach together, wind blowing through your dress, everyone laughing after the ceremony or those quiet moments when the two of you get a chance to take everything in.

More than just a wedding photographer
Your wedding photographs should feel like your wedding — not a collection of perfectly posed moments that could belong to anyone.
I’m all about giving you space to actually enjoy your day. I’ll guide you when you need a little direction, but I’m just as happy stepping back and letting the real moments happen.
The laughter, the happy tears, the ridiculous dance moves, the people you love, and all the little things you probably didn't even notice on the day.
That’s the stuff I want you to remember.

Real love stories
Every wedding is different, and that's exactly how it should be.
If you want to see more of the real stories behind the photographs, have a wander through some of the weddings I've photographed around New Zealand.
From relaxed backyard celebrations to beautiful country venues and big family gatherings, these are real couples, real moments and real wedding days — exactly as they happened.
