Some weddings stay with you long after the day is over — and Trinity and Ben’s wedding was one of those days from the very beginning.
When Trinity first told me they wanted to take their portraits on the family goat farm, I was instantly excited. Pair that with a wedding at Woodlands Estate — a venue I had dreamed of photographing ever since arriving in the Waikato — and I already knew this day was going to be something special.
Leading up to the wedding, the weather had been unpredictable to say the least. Grey skies and drizzle lingered through the morning, and I think we were all quietly wondering what the day might bring. But somehow, as the celebration unfolded, everything softened. The rain eased, the air warmed, and the entire day settled into this beautiful little bubble of love and connection.
Woodlands was the perfect backdrop for it all — timeless gardens, romantic textures, and so much character woven into every corner. Then we headed to the Juby family goat farm for portraits, and honestly, it felt like stepping into their story completely. The setting was personal, meaningful, and entirely unique to them. Between the rolling countryside, curious goats, muddy shoes, laughter, and quiet moments together, every part of it felt authentic and full of life.
What I loved most about Trinity and Ben’s day was how unapologetically personal it was. Nothing felt overly staged or forced. It was heartfelt, relaxed, joy-filled, and centred around the people and places that mattered most to them.
As the evening settled in over the farm and everyone gathered together to celebrate, you could feel the warmth of the day lingering everywhere — in the speeches, the laughter, the hugs, and the way these two looked at each other when no one else noticed.
Trinity and Ben, thank you for trusting me to capture such an incredible day. From dreamy Woodlands gardens to goat farm adventures, it was honestly everything I had hoped for and more.
